HALLOWEEN ESCAPE ROOM WITH STEM CHALLENGE

$6.00

Are you looking for a great way to keep students engaged in October? This Haunted House Escape Room for elementary students is the perfect way to keep students busy and thinking! This Escape event uses math, a coordinated grid, and a Halloween puzzle. There are goblins, mummies, vampires, witches, and haunted houses!

What is an Escape Room?

An Escape Room is a puzzle game in which students solve riddles and puzzles and find clues to complete tasks. In this Escape Room, students solve puzzles to open locked boxes. Open all three, and you escape!

What are the tasks?

  • TASK 1- Students complete a math riddle paper. The riddle’s answer leads to riddle poster and they will search for the lock code on the poster to open the first box.
  • TASK 2- Students complete a coordinated grid paper plotting points and connecting the points to draw a Halloween character. When the page is correctly completed, the teams will earn a clue for the lock code of the second box.
  • TASK 3- Students piece together a Halloween puzzle that spells a clue word or phrase. Students must search for Halloween posters to find the third lock code.

➡️And there is MORE!

Students will find the Constraints page for a STEM Challenge when that last box is unlocked. Opening the box gives them the task rules, and they will grab a supply bin and get busy planning a Candy Pumpkin Launching device.

What do you need?

  • You will need three number locks for this Escape Room.
  • Directions are included for using this set without these locks! You will also need three boxes. This can be a plastic or metal toolbox, but any box will work—even a cardboard box!
  • Directions and photos are included for setting up the boxes and locks or using a version without locks.
  • You do not need 3 boxes and 3 locks per group! It’s three boxes and three locks for the entire class.
